Welcome to Villa Andara! What you see is the result of our long love affair with the island of St. John. After many years, a winding path, and just a few new grey hairs, here we are. We hope you enjoy our story as much as we did while living it.

Read the story from the beginning.

“Andara” is a fully air-conditioned 3 bedroom villa with a swimming pool and hot tub. Bedroom # 1 and #2 are identical and stacked on top of each other. A half story up from Bedroom #1 and a half story down from Bedroom #2 is the den. Also in the main house is the great room, dining area, kitchen, powder room, desk, and laundry room. Bedroom # 3 is located in a separate pod across the pool deck and is connected to the main house via a trellis. There is a large gazebo off the main house and an infinity edge swimming pool with pool length steps gradually going to a depth of 5 1/2  feet. The pool deck is also home to the outdoor bar/bbq area and a powder room with outdoor shower for rinsing off that STJ beach sand.

    Dear Andy and Dara,
Just got home from our stay in your beautiful Villa. Words can not describe what a fantastic time we had. From the first time we drove into the driveway till the last time we drove out, it was an adventure and one we can’t wait to repeat. I could just lay in the pool and marvel over the stone work and all the details you put in to your home. I enjoyed cooking every nite in that great Kitchen which had everything imaginable. We did go to Skinny Legs for their hamburger, which my husband and friends just loved . Waking up looking out the arhed window and seeing the azule waters and beautiful Island of Tortola and going to bed seeing the twinkling lights of Tortola will never be forgotten. My husband said to me as we lay in bed last nite, “sure isn’t the view we had at Andara” So to say we miss it already, is an understatement. As I wrote in your book at the house, when I was making sure not to forget anything I did leave a piece of my Heart so that I have to go back to retrieve it. We can’t wait to return and we Thank you for letting us share your warm Beautiful Home.

My soon to be wife and I are coming to St. John on May 27 for our honeymoon. We booked Andara for the week and are incredibly excited about our trip. I have been to St. John once, about 14 years ago for my brothers wedding on Hawksnest beach. My wife Michelle has never been to any part of the carribean. From everything I have been able to read about Andara and many, many other villas on the island we are very pleased with our choice. We are planning a day trip to BVI including the baths, the caves, etc. So far we are considering “Island Time” which departs from the Westin I believe. Any advice on this matter would be appreciated. We both have our passports so that won’t be an issue. That leaves six more days for anything else. Is there anything else that is a “must do” for fist time visitors. Again, we are extremely pleased to be staying at Andara and are counting the days until our arrival.

    Dave
